The Battle Scar team have developed a curriculum based education program, which cover a large range of subjects, which are current with today’s school programmes. This ranges from the early medieval period (covering Vikings, William Wallace and Robert the Bruce) and extends to the Jacobite period. Throughout time we will be adding to this portfolio and do special requests for individual schools.

Our skilled team of entertainers all have a re-enactment background which gives them a practical understanding and a good knowledge of their subjects, our team travel the length and breadth of the country visiting schools of all social and religious backgrounds.

The school program consists of the performer telling the children of times long ago, they will involve the children in the presentation making them part of the experience. This we believe helps bring the whole subject to life, the children will have the opportunity to dress as characters of the time and to feel the weight of the weaponry and armour of the time. The children will have full hands on experience, ensuring they fully understand what life was like in the past. There is of course the opportunity to ask questions at the end to help gain a better understanding of the subject.

This is truly an innovative way to experience the past.
