This web site will constantly be changing as we add more information and links, which we feel, compliment our work and help the study of our history.
Within this site we will cover many aspects of Scottish history such as Vikings, Jacobites and Scottish Wars of Independence, you will find interesting links which will whiz you around the web looking at different battles fought during the Jacobite times such as the battle of Killiecrankie, Sheriffmuir, Glenshiel, Prestonpans, Falkirk and the Battle of Culloden.

The Jacobite period was a turbulent time when the Highland Clansmen fought for Bonnie Prince Charlie and the House of Stuart we also look at Lord George Murray, Bonnie Dundee, King James the VII And James the VIII. A look at the Jacobite period would not be complete without mentioning the Duke of Cumberland who commanded the Hanoverian troops and defeated the Jacobites near Inverness at the Battle of Culloden on April 16th 1746.

The Wars of Independence cover another turbulent time in Scottish history with some of Scotland’s greatest Heroes such as William Wallace and Andrew de Moray, famous for the victory at the battle of Stirling Bridge and also Robert the Bruce and his victory at the Battle of Bannockburn where he defeated a far superior and better equipped English army on a mid summers day in 1314. Links will also take you to sites which will go into their history in greater depth.
